Make Wallpaper In A Drive!!

Ya its possible, even without a software!!
I'm going 2 describe the process by the following steps!!

Step:-1> Go to the drive where U want to set d wallpaper!
Step:-2> Open the notepad there!
Step:-3> Copy the following code & paste it to the notepad!

iconarea_text=0x00FFFFFF
**[Note: in place of image path, U write the path of the image which U want to set as wallpaper. Like:- C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\image name.jpg]
Step:-4> save this as desktop.ini
Its done..... Next time whn U will open the drive U will fine the wallpaper there!!

1. Click Start
2. Click Run
3. Type regedit and hit ENTER
4. In the registry editor go to the following key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\ShellNoRoam\MUICache

5. Double click on the following value:
@C:\WINDOWS\system32\SHELL32.dll,-8964

6. AFTER DOUBLE CLICKING Change the NAME FROM RECYCLE BIN to whatever you wish.

7. Click OK and close out regedit
8. Click on a blank area of the desktop and select refresh from the context menu.
9. After the screen refreshes, you recycle bin will be renamed to whatever you decided.

solution for con. folder//// make folder without name

Try to create a folder in Windows with either of these names-- Not Only CON
"con" or "nul" or "Aux" or "Lpt1".
Windows will not let u create ....

This s coz these refer 2 some well known ports....
-con corresponds to the console
-Lpt1 corresponds to printer and so on....

solution:

Create this folder by typing con,press alt and type 255 from NumPad. Press enter. While typing 255, make sure num lock is on.

Rather U typed " CON".. ie. "CON".. u typed a space followed by CON..

One more thing.. u can creat a folder without any name by typin alt + 255 in number pad.. num lock mus be on..

hide all drive's (just to make fun)

1. This is yet another trick you can play on your geek friend system or in our system

. To disable the display of local or networked drives when you click My Computer

go to : HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

2. Now in the right pane create a new DWORD item and name it NoDrives. Now modify it's value and set it to 3FFFFFF (Hexadecimal) Now press F5 to refresh. When you click on My Computer, no drives will be shown.
3.To enable display of drives in My Computer, simply delete this DWORD item. It's .reg file is as follows: REGEDIT4 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explore r] "NoDrives"=dword:03ffffff

if changing the ip is only way to get rid of 15 min ,then here is a little trick to overcome it...
after the 1st link is downloaded and for the second download if "wait for 15 min " comes then
1. open network connections
2. right click on local area connection
3. select disable ( this makes your internet connection get disconnected )
4. now the a dialog box having redial will come...with out pressing redial
5. again right click on local area connection and select enable ...

now press on redial that is try to connect your net again... refresh the donwload page ... now no need to wait for 15 min... the ip address has changed now...

How to remove Windows Vista and/or Windows 7 from dual boot system having XP.

I was having my P.C. with X.P. as well Windows Vista and Beta version of Windows 7 as a dual boot.
After some days if uses I stopped using Vista and Windows 7.
Now I wished to get rid of these Operating systems as they were using a lot of space on my Hard Disk and I did not needed them any more.
Then I searched for the solution of How to remove those Operating Systems without losing my Data and even without having to re-install my X.P.?
I think many of you people also have this problem of how to remove Vista and / or Windows 7 on a dual boot system with X.P.

Here is how to do it.

1> Boot your computer in to Windows XP.

2> Ensure you have the Vista DVD in the DVD drive.

3> Go to “Start” and “Run”. Type in “d:\boot\bootsect.exe /nt52 ALL /force” (without quotes, plus replace d: with the drive letter of your Vista DVD).

4> Remove two files (Boot.BAK & Bootsect.BAK) on your XP root folder (C: ).

5> Restart the computer, and you will notice the boot selection menu is gone.

6> Format the partition/drive where you had Vista installed.

So here are some tips to follow and get rid of all problems, increase your browsing experience, productivity and speed.

1.Compress while sending multiple files.
In order to send more than one file via e-mail use compression utility like 7-Zip, WinZip, WinRar etc so that it takes less space in your and recipients mailbox.

2.Turn off graphics in IE.
Graphics enriches the Web Page looks but it too takes more time in loading so can be turned off for faster surfing. It can be disabled as follows:
•Open Internet Options either from Start Search (in Vista or Seven) or via Tools > Internet Options.
•Go to Advanced Tab.

•Scroll down to Multimedia section and uncheck the under given boxes.
•Finally Click on Apply.

3.Use distribution list for sending files.
To send e-mails to more than one recipients rather than listing each recipient separately use distribution list so that messages are sent efficiently and faster.

4.Use ‘Cached Exchange Mode’ in Outlook while you are offline.
With the help of ‘Cached Exchange Mode’ quick access of your mailbox is possible even if connection is lost while working. The copy of the mailbox gets stored in hard drive and is regularly updated with mail server provided that you are using Microsoft Exchange Server e-mail account.

5.Simple e-mail signatures, reduced e-mail size.
Instead of using images and other kind of graphics in the e-mail signatures which takes time while sending messages create text based distinctive e-mail signatures with combination of colors, fonts and type sizes. Such e-mail signature looks professional and is quicker to transmit and receive.

6.Save Web Pages to local hard drive and browse offline.
Web Pages which are in often use should be saved to computer so that its reference can be taken whenever needed even if connection to network is lost or connection is slow. Saving aWeb Page is very easy; simply click on Save As from File Menu of Internet Explorer.

In Save As dialog box, select Webpage Complete in the Save as type: drop down menu.
And then Click on OK.

7.Increase your cache to load Web Pages faster.
Temporary Internet files cache plays an important role in Browsing as some images will get cached on your computer and when the Web Page is revisited it will take less time to open.
Increase the size of cache as follows:
•Open Internet Options either from Start Search (in Vista or Seven) or via Tools > Internet Options in Internet Explorer.
•In IE 6: On General tab, click on Settings in Temporary Internet files section.
In IE 7 or later: Click on Settings in Browsing History section.
•In ‘Check for newer versions of stored pages:’ click the Automatically radio button.

•In Disk Space to use set its value to 250 MB.
•Click on OK.

then 1--> install the damon tools

2--> crerate a image file of the cd which yu often use and now wants to see without inserting in cd tray

3--->after createing image eject cd from cd tray

4--->open dameon tools and mount or open tat image file

5---> there in my computer it automatically an external cd drive creates and yu can view those cd contents as presnet in cd's without inserting in it


same way all images files can be viewed as viewd as cd in external drive(cd)created by dfameon tools

I see no reason for there to be any delay when I click on the Start Menu. Effects are pretty, but I wouldn’t click on it if I didn’t have business inside, so lets get it open and get moving. The default speed can be adjusted with a quick registry entry.

The default value is 400. Set it to 0 and the delay is gone, but it will be nearly impossible to move the mouse fast enough not to activate [All Programs] if you mouse over it in route to your final selection. It's easy to train yourself to move the pointer to the right after clicking Start to avoid activating All Programs. Pick a number that suits your style and make the change, then test it until you find a good compromise between speed and usability.

Modify/Create the Value Data Type(s) and Value Name(s) as detailed below.
